New Year, New Journey: We are Back for Greater Success
Today is the ninth day of the first lunar month, the first day we return to work after the Chinese New Year holiday.
In traditional Chinese culture, the number nine (九，jiǔ) sounds similar to the Chinese character for longevity and eternity (久，jiǔ), symbolizing good fortune, longevity and everlasting prosperity. The ninth day of the first lunar month is also celebrated as the God of Wealth Day. On this auspicious day, people pray for peace, good luck and a prosperous new year. To mark the occasion, one of our colleagues dressed up as the God of Wealth, and every team member received a red envelope with cash, symbolizing good luck and blessings.
